Some exciting news has arrived: two years after the Convoy event - the gamemode celebrating 100 Years of Tanks, featuring Lanchester armored cars - wheeled vehicles appear to finally be ready for an official introduction to the regular game! Wargaming is said to be making the announcement at this year's Gamescom, which starts tomorrow (21. Aug). Keep an eye out for more info in the next few days, as we will certainly be covering it in more detail as the info arrives!
World of Tanks - Update 1.1 Common Test 2: Changes to In-Game Bulletin System (Combat Intelligence/Field Post Office)
You may remember from the Update 1.1 Common Test 2 Patchnotes that some changes were made to the bulletin present in the game. Previously, this feature was not used very often, as the system itself was added rather quietly and was not maintained with consistent information. However, in Update 1.1, Wargaming has completely revamped this feature, calling it "Combat Intelligence"/"Field Post Office". From here, info about news/updates will be viewable from inside the game client, accompanied by specials and offers. Here are some comparison shots between the old bulletin (1.0.2 and prior) and the new field post office (1.1 onwards).
Yet another batch of questions has arrived from the World of Tanks Subreddit! Parts 1 and 2 can be found here (1) and here (2), respectively. Now, onto the Q&A, including many answers by the Devs themselves!
World of Tanks - Potential New M551 Sheridan Model? (UPDATE: DEBUNKED as of 17. Aug! Read for Details)
UPDATE (17. Aug): It has been all-but-confirmed by insider sources that this vehicle is not intended for World of Tanks at this time -- the vehicle model was instead for Wargaming's Project Excalibur, a.k.a. their since-cancelled attempt at a tank warfare game in a more modern setting. Several screenshots of the model were found from in the game, as well as a couple of other models from the game by the same group of artists:
For a more comprehensive report on the model's fate/usage, see The Daily Bounce's article covering the topic in more detail.
(Do note: this does not mean that Wargaming couldn't potentially recycle the model for use in World of Tanks, but as mentioned in The Daily Bounce's article, the M551A1 this model represents is a bit outside of the game's timeframe, and it has been confirmed that there are no plans to replace the current XM551 model, at least for the immediate future.)

Update 1.1 is around the corner and it’s bringing a whole heap of new and improved maps. This article will take you from the heart of Wargaming’s history to the Polish battlefields of Studzianki and explain what to expect with these fresh locales. We’ll also dive into all the details of the improvements to older maps, so let’s get started!
A new style set has been created in celebration of Gamescom 2018! The style set will be available in the game client to purchase for 1,750 gold (same as the Football sets). Here are some images of the style set as it appears in-game.
The second iteration of the Update 1.1 Common Test has hit, bringing with it a short list of changes (mostly minor technical improvements/fixes and adjustments to a couple of the low-tier Polish vehicles). Check out the notes here!
For a little while now, Wargaming has been working on transitioning "Kharkov" into HD. Previously, the map had been tested in similar form to its' previous state -- however, gameplay problems persisted from the old map. Therefore, they are testing a completely new version of the map, redesigned from head-to-toe. Read on for some more background, as well as to see the current minimap.

Two new premium vehicles that have been in the spotlight before have resurfaced again, this time with some interesting agenda:
World of Tanks - 2018 Birthday Hangar (Day & Night Versions) + Anniversary Gift Tank, Camouflage, & Emblems
UPDATE (10/8): Updated with mission conditions from the official article on the EU portal.
Two new hangars celebrating World of Tanks's 8th Anniversary (since its' original release) have been added to the game client with the most recent micropatch, both with plenty of interesting details! Check out some images of both day-and-night versions here. Additionally, the tier II Polish turretless light tank, TKSz nkm 20A, has been confirmed as this year's gift tank, and will be arriving with some other gifts you can earn (namely, the potato camouflage and WG 20th Anniversary emblem shown before). Read on for the details!
Apart from the aforementioned changes to Fjords, a new game prototype will be tested on supertest. Although it already has a name, it may not proceed to release. It all depends on player feedback. It is only the first prototype, and your opinion will define its fate. It’s totally up to you! (Note: If you'd like to provide feedback on the map [and/or the previously-covered Fjords changes], leave your feedback in this thread on the EU forums.) Read on for the details!
Changes to the Fjords map have arrived on supertest! The main differences are in polishing the central and northern parts of the map. The plan is to improve the gameplay in this area, while keeping the familiar positions and a common game design. Additionally, better distribution of vehicles across the battle locations is planned, in order to avoid the excessive concentration of tanks in the K5 square. Read on for the details!
Internal playtests of the Ghost Town map are under way, to check its suitability for Random Battles. This time, a more spacious version of it is being tested: 1000x1000 meters instead of the old 800x800. This is in order to try and make room for mobile vehicles, allowing them more maneuvering space throughout the battle. Several other tweaks have been made to the map as well, which you can read about here.
With the second set of Personal Missions comes plenty of new rewards -- and not just limited to vehicles! As with the previous season, players will be able to earn special camouflage patterns by completing all missions in a set. Take a look!
