Friends, on the last day of winter we hasten to please you with the next results of constant work on revealing and punishing players who use prohibited modifications.
Graphics are the backbone of creating a realistic battlefield from the ripped steel of a destroyed tank to the fauna and flora dotted around the map. Water, terrain, clouds, trees and more all individually combine to make up the most genuine battlefields created with the help of the new graphics engine.
In the wake of this major visual uplift, we invite you to take a closer look at how Update 1.0 will redefine World of Tanks looks through this three-part series. Today we will focus on the clouds in the skies and shadows.
Several user made vehicles have made it to the game in the past under the War Thunder revenue share program and we are pleased to announce that another user made creation will be making its way to the game with update 1.77 “Advancing Storm”. Pilots, welcome the long-awaited German He 177 “Greif” strategic heavy bomber to War Thunder!
Ban wave #8 just hit. People in RU server already got banned for using illegal modifications. As the Ranked Battles season 1 is still in full swing, you should find matchmaking a little bit more enjoyable. The last ban wave hit us November 2017, so a lot of accounts will be penalized for breaking the rules. Have fun and play fair!
We continue adjusting vehicle balance as planned. In Update 4.7, we will resolve some pending issues and sort out those resulting from previous changes. Thus, the Object 140 and T-62A will not have the same gun anymore, the FV4202 and Centurion Mk. 7/1 will get alternative guns with the current HESH-shells, and Tier VII Tigers will finally get their claws trimmed and will shoot slower.
All mentioned changes will come into effect upon the release of Update 4.7. Since many vehicles will have their guns replaced, their shells may be removed at full compensation of their cost upon the update’s release. So when you have downloaded the new update, do not forget to check your ammunition before entering battle.
Should hit the live servers today. Click read more for the full changes and addition.
As all of you are aware, Update 1.0 will be released this March, and to help you kill time until the day comes, we have prepared a countdown event starting 1 March. Take part in it and win daily, weekly, and the main prize of the countdown to 1.0! Check out the missions below!
The Community has decided! In March, the vehicle highlighted in this special is the Object 430U, the most recent Soviet medium tank to be added, with super tough frontal armour and a huge gun that will punch huge holes into its opponents.
The World of Tanks Assistant app has received an update adding the ability to chat with other players with the app, available on both Apple & Android devices. The function is currently in beta testing, and is only available for the RU region at the moment. When this is to be expanded to other regions is currently unknown.
Update 4.7 hits the live servers February 28th
There will be an event in Update 4.7 called the Spring Maneuvers event. The most skilled tankers will get the T-44-100 Premium tank.
One soldier does not make a battle, but two soldiers do make a squad! We have created a special feature for people who like team play in War Thunder: in update 1.77 “Advancing Storm” it’s much easier to band together with other people from your squadron and play in your favorite mode!
In the window of your squadron, a new “Squadron squads” button will appear. Click this button to see a list of all the squads whose leaders are members of your squadron, and you can also find out detailed information about each squad: the current and maximum number of players in it, the list of squad members and its current status (e.g. “In queue: Squadron arcade battles”). Important: squads led by other players, where the members of your squadron are ordinary members, are not displayed! Don’t forget: leadership of a squad can be transferred.
But the most important part is the “Apply” button! You will be able to ask to join a selected squad with a click of a button, and all the squad leader has to do is accept your request!
Join squadrons, band together in squads, and play War Thunder together!

Hello Tracks Up! Today I‘ll present you my German armored car proposal. With WG promising us to add wheeled vehicles into the game, it‘s about time to start talking about potential vehicles that would make it into the game, so I’ve made my own wheeled vehicle line, that starts at tier 1 and ends up with tier 10. The line starts at tier 1 as, to my mind, the whole concept of wheeled vehicles is unique and deserves an unique placement in the tech tree. Tiers 1-3 will contain cars equiped with devastating autocannons, able to decimate any foe in their way, the only problem will be the penetration. From tier 4 onwards the playstyle will change: cars will start to receive great shell penetration values with great gun handling, effectively making them fast sniper cars.
The line consists of 10 vehicles, going from tier 1 onwards, with 2 premium cars (that‘s a new one) at tier 6 and 8, respectively. Each vehicle has its own playstyle to which the player will have to adapt, as the mobility / armament statistics differ with each tier.
The vehicle statistics are as historical as possible, while also not breaking the balance of the game or making the vehicle to underperform.
Go into the fray with HMH Chrysler K and bring armored annihilation to your foes in brand new, limited edition bundles, only available until March 26.
This Heavy Metal Hero is a tier VIII Heavy Tank which suits a headstrong and fearless approach. Fronted with outstanding turret armor, charge enemy ranks without exposing its flanks, and unleash the HMH Chrysler K in earth-shattering, close-combat showdowns. Your enemies won't know what hit them!
