The Italian Tech tree arrives this Wednesday (for RU)/Thursday (for NA/EU) in World of Tanks. Meet the brand-new, top-of-the-tree Italians in all their shiny, auto-reloading glory!
SALE STARTS MAY 1, 04:20 PT | 06:20 CT | 07:30 ET
It's a new month, and we get things off to a rolling start with the Chrysler K GF, a Tier VIII U.S. heavy tank with outstanding frontal armor and high DPM! It also comes clad in stylish all-season camo — and as the 2017 Grand Finals mascot — a Wargaming League insignia.
The Chrysler is available all month long in four bundle packages that feature plenty of options — no haggling and no pushy salespeople. Take a close look, kick the treads, and drive one right off the lot! (Note: This is currently for the NA server only.)
With the new Frontline mode coming in update 1.0.1, players will have a chance to participate in massive, multi-zone battles like never before. This should already be a rather special addition to World of Tanks, but there's more -- players will be able to earn some extra rewards from the mode, one of which is: camouflage style sets! Read on to find out more.
The monthly overview of what's coming up in May has been posted for NA! Here's all the details of what's in store for the North American region this month, including The Berlin Five, missions for Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day (among others), the next pair of "On Track" vehicles, and more!
World of Tanks - Graphics Evolution: The Future Begins with 1.0 (With Transcript by The Daily Bounce)
Wargaming has recently put out a video covering Update 1.0 as well as some of their plans for the future (i.e. upcoming changes, possible features, game events, etc.). If you don't want to watch through the whole video, however (or if you would rather read about it), Harkonnen from The Daily Bounce has compiled and provided us with a transcript of the main points from it (huge thanks to him for that!).
Even more news from the World of Tanks supertest -- a new British premium/reward vehicle has appeared, in the form of a tier 6 medium tank -- the Sherman Firefly IC. The vehicle once again appears to be in its' historical configuration, featuring poor armor protection but mounting the renowned 17-pdr gun at tier 6. Please note: The vehicle currently uses the in-game Sherman Firefly's model as a placeholder. The model is not final. It is currently unclear what the purpose of this vehicle is, but it may potentially be to either test rebalances for the existing vehicle or to become a separate premium/reward tank. More details will most likely come down the road.
Another new vehicle has hit supertest: this time, a prototype of the American M26 Pershing -- T26E3. Not to be confused with the tier 8 American premium heavy tank T26E5, this specific vehicle appears to be much closer to the M26's historical configuration. Please note: The vehicle currently uses the in-game M26 Pershing's model as a placeholder. The model is not final.
More images of the new tier 5 Soviet premium medium tank, the T-34 Shielded (aka T-34E), have been released, courtesy of WoT Express -- this time, some screenshots of the vehicle taken in-game.
This is your chance to pick up the rare M6A2E1, but act fast: it's only available in the Premium Shop for 72 hours!
World of Tanks - Arms Race Starting Soon on the Global Map! (EU/RU) (+ Stat Changes for Reward Vehicles)
From 29 May to 12 June for EU (and 28 May to 11 June for RU), the Global Map will host a large-scale game event. In this event, the best clan strategists and commanders will compete in planning and tactics, and players will be able to earn Bonds, Gold, unique badges, clan style sets, and Camouflage patterns, as well as a new set of awards.
Also, the best players will be able to exchange bonds for one of the three Tier X vehicles that were previously available as rewards in Campaigns on the Global Map. Read all about it here!
The tier 8 premium Polish heavy has already received a few minor changes to its' stats; namely, the accuracy, aim time, dispersion while moving/traversing the hull, and hitpoints of the vehicle. Check out the changes here.
Some more screenshots of the Polish Czolg 51 have been released, courtesy of WoT.Express. More info on the vehicle (including some background info and it's current stats) can be found in our previous post here.
Some more info from the World of Tanks supertest: today, tests have begun on another new Soviet vehicle. This will be an interesting variant of a tank already present in the game, in historical configuration and with an original appearance: the T-34 Shielded (a.k.a. T-34E).
Two prototypes of a new summer map have appeared on the super test, which will be made available in Grand Battles. These will be maps in the Soviet setting, which will take us to an atmosphere of stubborn opposition and struggle against the German invaders.
Get ready for the Italian tanks to go live! Update 1.0.1 has been slated for release on the night of May 1-2 for the RU region. NA and EU are likely to receive the update a day later (May 3).
