As of today (Wednesday, 10. Oct), Update 1.2 has officially arrived (for both EU & NA)! Here is the full changelog for this patch, along with a list of known issues.
New and changed maps, improvements to Preferential Matchmaking vehicles, and more features should be in place Wednesday morning! In this update: improvements to tier VIII premium vehicles with preferential matchmaking, a new Asia-themed map + the return of two (2) maps in HD, rebalances to five (5) of the current maps, and the start of the third campaign of the Second Front of Personal Missions: Object 279 (e). In the upcoming War Thunder update 1.83 “Masters of the Sea!” we present to you Naval Forces OBT, a Royal Navy CBT line-up, new vehicles and locations.
You have passed hundreds of thousands of nautical miles and sent countless opponents to the bottom to bring this event closer! We are announcing the start of preparations for the upcoming major update in which the Naval Forces Open Beta Test (Royal Navy excepted) in War Thunder will begin!
Yet another new vehicle has arrived on the supertest today; this time in the form of a tier VIII Swedish heavy tank -- the EMIL 1951. The vehicle is fairly similar to that of its' counterpart in the tech tree (EMIL 1), but differs slightly in that it has a slightly lighter hull, giving it better power-to-weight ratio but slightly worse armor as a result, as well as a three-round magazine (rather than four). Read on for the details.
Some revisions to the Fisherman's Bay map have arrived on supertest. Check out the details here.
The fate of a certain Tier VI Soviet premium heavy tank, which has been sitting unused in the game files for almost three years now, has finally been determined! More details here.
More information about changes to specific Premium tanks has arrived -- in particular, it has been officially confirmed that they will be coming in Update 1.2! Read on for all the details, straight from the source.
The pre-sale of this month's new premium vehicle, the Kanonenjagdpanzer 105, has begun -- however, unlike the usual premium sale, this has also brought with it an interesting announcement for owners of the existing Kanonenjagdpanzer (with the 90 mm gun). If you already own the original one, you will have two options relating to the new vehicle: you can either keep the original and purchase the Kanonenjagdpanzer 105 for a 50% discount, or exchange the original out for the 105, the latter option of which is completely free to do! Read on for all the details.
It was recently discovered that the standard (non-GF) version of the American Chrysler K appeared in the game files for the Update 1.2 common test. For context: while most of the reskinned vehicles usually have their standard counterpart left over in the game files, the Chrysler GF's completely replaced those of the original, non-skinned Chrysler K before its' release.
It is currently unknown for certain if/when the standard version will become available to players, but it is possible a sale/exchange similar to those of the AMX 13 57 and M 41 90 GF's could happen at some point. Until then, however, we will just have to wait and see, as nothing is confirmed yet. UPDATE: The tank has been made available for sale as of October 26. Additionally, owners of the Grand Finals version have been given the option to trade in for this version. Both of these are only for a limited time, however. Check your region's official support portal for more details.

In today's news, the Polish tier 4 premium medium tank known as B.B.T.Br.Panc has finally made a return to the supertest after over two-and-a-half years since its' first appearance. The vehicle was the second Polish vehicle to hit supertesting, but has yet to make an appearance in the game. Despite many Polish players showing interest in it, the fate of this vehicle is currently unknown. Regardless, here it is, full stats and all.
Today, we’re starting the Supertest of a new German vehicle: a Tier II light tank called the MKA (which stands for “Mittlerer Kampfwagen für Ausland” meaning “medium tank for other countries”; that is, designated for export).
This compact newcomer is pretty agile with nice camo and spotting range. Its HP pool is quite good, but there’s no armor to speak of, so standing still when under fire is not recommended. For this tank, the “Moving is living” saying is especially true!
This is the first test iteration, so the stats of the MKA may change. Follow the news and may luck shine upon you in every battle!
