News on the next vehicle down the Polish tech tree - 40TP Habicha, a tier VI medium tank - has arrived from the supertest! The vehicle stands out among other tier 6 mediums due to its' armament - a 90 mm cannon with 240 alpha damage and fairly decent damage per-minute - but falls a bit short in accuracy/dispersion and armor. This is in part offset by good mobility and gun depression/elevation angles. Read on for more details!
The 40TP Habicha is a mobile medium, which stands out due to its armament -- a 90 mm cannon with an alpha damage of 240 points and a decent rate of fire. However, gun handling is far from ideal -- the cannon's poor accuracy (at 100 m) of 0.42 prevents efficient sniping, and the current aiming time of 2.7 s isn’t favorable. The tank itself is relatively fast, and can both quickly accelerate to its maximum speed of 50 kp/h and manage to sustain it thanks to a power-to-weight ratio of 17.4 hp per-ton.
The armor of the 40TP Habicha doesn’t protect this tank from enemy fire much (mind you, we’re talking about a Tier VI medium). This can be compensated for by making use of ridgelines and slopes with the fairly-comfortable gun depression of -8°.
This is the pre-supertest state of the vehicle. If the trials show the stats need some tuning, we’ll make adjustments.
Follow the news, and good luck in battle!
