Latest to arrive on the supertest client is a rebalance of the Object 430 II. Check out this post for details, as well as the updated stats for this vehicle -- if these changes go through, the playstyle of this vehicle will be fundamentally changed from before.
In case anyone has forgotten, both K-91 and Object 277 -- the machines that will replace the mysterious "under-wraps" tanks currently visible in the Soviet tech tree - are likely to appear in the game client soon. It is reported that Wargaming are almost 100% determined on their playing roles, and supertests have shown that both vehicles' styles of play are viable: the K-91 being a medium fire support vehicle, and the Object 277 being a mobile assault heavy (similar to the T-10).
Now that the crown jewels of both branches have been sorted out, attention has been shifted to their predecessors. Today, the Object 430 Version II has been sent off the super test for a serious rework. Currently, it is a very strong medium for melee fights and brawling, with good armor protection for its class and a fairly decent damage per minute, but with not the best gun handling or performance. With these changes, this machine will become a kind of intermediate vehicle between the Object 416 and the K-91: a medium tank with a rear-turreted layout, excellent firepower, and good stabilization/gun performance parameters. The new version of the vehicle will be effective in the role of a mobile sniper, able to actively navigate the map and reach strong vantage points without much trouble. Fights at a short distance will be a thing of the past for this tank, however -- the vehicle's armor has been weakened significantly, and has slightly "grown thinner": the hitpoints have dropped to 1,600. Still, the Object 430 Version II will receive an updated gun with excellent fire parameters to compensate.
Why such changes? It's been noted that the Object 416 is very popular with the players, and not without good reason. As such, its' style of gameplay has been used as the basis for the rest of the rear-turreted medium tank branch. The final characteristics of the machines will appear closer to their appearance on the Common Test, but for now, here are the statistics. These changes - as well as the new tier X Soviet vehicles - are said to be arriving pretty soon -- this summer, in fact. Keep an eye out for more news!
